Welcome to Teddy Bear Day Care in Brownsburg !

My name is Chris Adkins, and I am the director of this center. I was Teddy Bear's first employee and have continued with the company for the past 28 years. I have had many roles, starting as a teacher, then becoming an assistant director and a director in 1990. I eventually was instrumental in opening our Brownsburg center in 1996. I have my Child Development Associates Credential. I am a member of National Association for the Education of young children. I am the proud mother of three adult children that had the opportunity to grow up in the loving, nurturing environment of Teddy Bear Day Care.

Here at Teddy Bear, we value each individual child's wants, needs, and personal development and growth. We strive to bring joy, love, and fun into every child's day. From circle time to dramatic play to art activities, the teachers here are dedicated to making every day different and exciting.

Working in childcare means that every day is a different adventure. My favorite part of working for Teddy Bear is seeing the children mature and develop. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a child discover and play!

Teddy Bear Day Care 65th St.

Welcome to Teddy Bear Day Care
on 65th St.

My name is Stephanie Stickler, and I am the center Director. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ball State University where I studied Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology of Human Development. I had worked in the childcare field for 5 years prior to becoming the director at our 65th St. location in November of 2008. My husband and I recently welcomed our first child in September of 2011. She is the center of our world. Being a mom has made me even more aware of what it takes to provide good, quality childcare. I know that leaving your child in the care of someone else is not always an easy task. At Teddy Bear Day Care we keep communication open between our parents, our teachers and myself. My desire is to welcome children in a manner that encourages them to develop a positive self-image. I am a member of NAEYC and enjoy attending annual conferences to expand my knowledge in Early Childhood Education.
